basel -
I have a T-Mobile Pearl and was having the same problem. Mind closely which field you are inserting which data from http://www.reqwireless.com/support_bb_wap.html, and you should be OK. It looks like you probably crossed up the WAP Gateway IP (should be 216.155.165.50), the Gateway Port (should be 9201) and the Gateway APN (should be wap.voicestream.com). That should do the trick.

I use T-Mobile as my service provider so I entered the following:
WAP Gateway IP: wap.voicestream.com
WAP Gateway Port: 216.155.165.50
WAP Gateway APN: 9201

What values did you enter for WAP Gateway IP, WAP Gateway Port and WAP Gateway APN?

I tried going through all these suggestions - including the WAP entries for T-Mobile - and I still get the error:
"Failed to download the channel; Error code: -10; Details: WapGatewayIP should be assigned to an IP address"
Any suggestions? Thanks!

I was able to get the software to work with my blackberry via the wap option. I am on T mobiles network and was able to find the wap settings through www.reqwireless.com web page.
The wap settings are here. http://www.reqwireless.com/support_bb_wap.html

- How the other applications, that access the web, are setup?
- Which type of connection they use (MDS, Direct TCP, WAP)?
- Do you see "Username for APN" and "Password for APN" populated on the device "Options / Advanced Options / TCP" screen?
Thanks,

Hi
I have 1.1.03, trying to use TCP/IP to retrieve feeds, and get the error:
Failed to download the channel, Error code: -10; Details: could not open tunnel - failed
Since you've previously stated that MDS needs to be enabled, I tried to use the MDS option but (rightly so) security policy is preventing inside/outside firewall access.
However, plenty of other apps installed on my BlackBerry (8700, FWIW) have web access and work fine. I've just reset the firewall permissions and re-allowed for all URLs, but still no success.

Please try new version 1.1.03 http://www.maximumsoft.com/downloads/newscopier_blackberry.z ip
One you've started the program on your BlackBerry, before downloading channels, please open Options menu and change the connection type to Direct TCP.
After that, please try to download channels, either by Show this Channel, or Refresh All Channels menu.

I do not know any of the addressess, I selected which ever one automatically picks the address for me. I hope this is what you are asking.
I see 2 options when I first open the browser to select the channels.
1. select from a list of known channels
2. enter the channel's URL
I pick option "1."
I have no idea what the channels URL's are, and do not want to sit and type a URL 17 - 20 times.
After all channels have been added, I have 2 options
1. direct TCP/IP or MDS
2. WAP gateway
I select option "1." If I select option #2, it wants me to add an address. I do not know the address.
Thanks I hope this helps better in explaining my problem.
Thanks again.
