Custom error page. The program now can show custom error page when a file can't be found during offline (and online) browsing. This page provides additional information about the file that may help to find out why it’s missing. To turn this new option 'on' or 'off', use the corresponding control on "Project Settings / Contents" window. Bug fixes Command line parameters. Trial version had problems starting download when it was started by using command line parameters. Netscape 7.x bookmarks. The program experienced problems importing Netscape 7.x bookmarks on some computers.

New Features Better handling of very big websites downloads. Download non-HTML files from any location. This new option in "Project Settings / Advanced / Download" window is useful when you restrict download to a certain directories on web server (by using URL Filters), but still want to retrieve some non-HTML files (for example, .js and .css) from other directories in order to view local copy of website properly. Bug fixes Directory selection in 'Copy Project' wizard may work incorrectly.

New Features Can record every page you browse. Now WebCopier can record every page you browse in its Integrated browser. Just press "Record Pages You Browse" button on the browser toolbar and the program will keep each page you have visited on the Internet. All recorded pages will be added to your currently opened project. If WebCopier doesn't have opened project, you’ll have an option to add these pages to existing project or create a new one. Also, WebCopier will show the site structure as the Contents tree. Also, WebCopier will show the site structure as the Contents tree. To stop recording depress the "Record Pages You Browse" button. This feature can be used when you need to download just a few pages from a website, view a site structure, quickly add pages to the project download list. All default download restrictions are removed. Previously, WebCopier by default did set some download restrictions (max. number of download files, max. file size, etc) in each new project to make it easy to manage by novice user. Even when all these restriction can be changed or removed in the "Project Settings / Download" window, it did confuse some users that thought that it was a limitation of the trial version. To avoid any future confusion, we decided remove all default download restrictions. Checks if the file exists in browser cache. Now, before downloading a new file from the Internet, the program checks if this file already exists in its Integrated browser or Microsoft Internet Explorer cache. If so, the file will retrieved from the cache instead of downloading it. This feature is controlled by "Check if the file exists in cache" option in the "Project Settings / Advanced / Download" window. Better handling of slow websites. Several improvements have been made for better handling downloads from slow website that previously could cause incomplete file downloads. Bug fixes JavaScript parsing has been improved. The "Offsite Links" level was inappropriately disabled in the "Project Settings" dialog.

The new "Use Internet Explorer connection settings" option ("WebCopier Options / Connection" window) allows reusing Internet Explorer advanced settings, such as automatic configuration script. Faster Links Conversion. The speed of the "Links Conversion" is significantly increased, up to 200%, depending on a website. Language selection. If you are a new WebCopier user, the first screen you’ll see will be the Language selection window. Right after that you can enjoy your native language support by WebCopier. You can also make the Language selection later on in "WebCopier Options / Language" window. Improved node Properties window. The Contents Tree node "Properties" window now shows the file status, including the reason of filtering the file out and the download error code. Enhanced Add URL Filter window. This window now has URL line to make the filter creation simpler. Improved Copy Project process. It doesn't stop when a file copy error occurs, instead it logs the error into the Log file. CSS files level. Now CSS files are considered to be on the same level as the parent HTML file to make sure that they will be downloaded even when Link Level restriction is used. New Features Full Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) support. The program now can find / convert all links embedded in CSS files and inline styles. Delete outdated files option. Use this option ("Project Settings / Advanced / Download" window) if you want the program automatically delete outdated files (the files that have been previously downloaded by WebCopier and don’t exist on the website any more) on your disk. Project defaults. Click on "Set As Default" button ("Project Settings" window) if you want to use the current project settings as defaults for all new projects. The program will automatically save the project settings as "default.wct" template file and check "Use this template..." option ("WebCopier Options" window). Convert this Branch links option. It allows converting links for offline browsing only within the files that belong to the selected tree branch. Project Settings changes. Now URL and File Filters can be changed during download. Download Window status field. If a download was stopped because of certain download restriction ("Project Settings / Download" window) the "Download Window" status field now shows the reason. Improved Forms processing. The program now can process forms with "GET" method and find URLs within OPTION tags. New Template keywords. New keywords are created to describe new project options. Bug fixes Link conversion problems have been fixed. Now the program can handle image files links that don’t have an extension. HTTP code 301 error is fixed. New Features Starting Referrer URL. This option (located in the "Project Settings / Advanced / Other" window) allows to specify the Referrer URL for the project starting URL. It may be helpful if you download a part of a website and the web server wants to know where the request for the first page came from. For all other site pages WebCopier automatically supplies the Referrer information based on the site structure. Show First project page. When WebCopier loads a project, it shows the first downloaded site page. It's controlled by "Show First project page" option in the "WebCopier Options / General" window. The option is enabled by default. Toolbar and Status bar settings. WebCopier remembers the Toolbar and Status bar settings (show / hide). Enhanced Find in Contents feature. Previously, the search was done based on the file name loaded in the Integrated browser. It worked only for files already loaded by WebCopier. Now the search can be done based on the URL, so you can see the Contents Tree location of a URL that wasn’t yet downloaded by WebCopier. Improved handling of server Redirections.

New Features License changes. Starting from this version WebCopier is distributed as a SHAREWARE program. You may evaluate it for 30 days. After that you need REGISTER. New skinnable user interface. This version introduces new WebCopier skinnable user interface. To change the skin open "WebCopier Options" dialog, click on "Skin" icon and select the skin. The installation includes three skins: "Modern" (default skin), "Golf" and "Classic". To use skins your computer color settings should be set to support more than 256 colors. Redesigned Download Info window. The window now: Is Resizable, Can show full URL, Provides more detailed information about the download process (Filtered links, number of Errors, Average download Speed, Files size downloaded during this session, estimated Remaining time), Shows download speed Graph. New Contents Tree icons. The Contents tree has a new icons (grayed out image with red 'F') indicating links that have been Filtered (excluded from the download based on certain download restrictions). Keep previous log file option. This option allows to append download session log file to the previous ones. During a download Log File window shows only current session log. Next time you load the project, you'll see all logs. Also Log File window shows only first 30 KB of log data. Keep Query string in file name option. If the link URL contain a query string (text after '?' character) and the option is enabled, the file name will also contain the query string (if its length doesn't exceed 260 characters). Otherwise, the file name will contain encoded text like "Wcf45edcc35f02.htm". Pause between connections. You can specify a pause between website files downloads to prevent web server overload. Download images from any location. Allows to download images from different servers even when "Load Files from" option ("Project Settings / Advanced / URL Filters" window) is set to "The starting Server only". Link Conversion can be stopped. If the conversion is started right after the download, you can press the toolbar "Stop" button to abort it. If you use "Project / Convert Links" menu, press "Stop" button on the window with progress bar. 100,000 links limit is removed. Previous versions can download only up to 100,000 files. Now the limit is removed. New Template keywords. New keywords are created to describe new project options. Bug fixes When you "Start New download" of previously downloaded project all tree nodes (including already downloaded files) become grayed out. If you pause a download, then stop it and start it again, the Download Info window states "Starting..." - and nothing happens. "Find in Contents" may not work if the file name has space character. FTP downloads can fail because of Error -3. Parsing of files with converted links can bring incorrect new links and, therefore, download errors. Some Forms submission may fail. Program stability is improved.
